Digital menu board cost

Know the software, hardware, and usage costs before you buy.

Plan what you will create and publish, then check the software allowance. Use the calculator below and budget separately for the screen, player, installation, and connection.

Reviewed October 8, 2026

ScreenFire prices the software by plan rather than charging separately for every connected screen. Publishing and AI generation use clearly defined credits.

Plan your month

Estimate your monthly credits.

Count publishes, screens laid out by AI, and successful AI creations. The example below comes from our published plan examples.

1 publish = 1 credit

1 screen laid out = 1 credit

1 successful AI image = 6 credits

1 successful motion graphic = 8 credits

This checks included credits, not the cheapest plan-and-pack combination. Packs may fit a lower plan. Compare features before choosing a plan: Free covers up to 10 screens, and a point-of-sale connection needs Pro or Business.

Firy assistant messages (0.25 credits each) and unlisted actions are excluded. Screens do not multiply publishing costs. Prices are in US dollars; hardware, installation, taxes and custom integrations are separate.

ScreenFire monthly software plans

Starter, Pro, and Business have no per-screen fee, with a current technical limit of 100 screens per business. Free includes up to 10 screens, publishing, and AI screen layouts.

  • Free: $0 per month with 25 monthly credits
  • Starter: $29 per month with 125 monthly credits
  • Pro: $79 per month with 400 monthly credits
  • Business: $199 per month with 1,100 monthly credits

How credits work

Credits pay for independent actions. They are not a sequence of steps that every update must consume.

  • One confirmed publish operation: 1 credit
  • One screen laid out by AI: 1 credit
  • One successful AI image: 6 credits
  • One successful motion graphic: 8 credits
  • One Firy assistant message: 0.25 credits
  • Failed AI generation: 0 credits

Costs outside the subscription

The monthly software price does not include displays, streaming devices, mounting, electrical work, installation, taxes, or custom integrations unless a quote explicitly says otherwise.

A compatible existing HDMI screen can reduce the initial hardware cost because it may only need a supported streaming device, power, and Wi-Fi.

Common questions

Clear answers before you choose.

Does ScreenFire charge per screen?

No. Paid plans have no per-screen fee, with a current technical limit of 100 screens per business. Free includes up to 10 screens. Screens never multiply the cost of a publish.

Does publishing to several selected screens cost several credits?

No. One confirmed publish operation costs one credit, including when it targets several selected screens.

Does the calculator choose the cheapest plan?

No. It shows the smallest plan whose included monthly allowance covers your estimated publishing, AI screen layouts, successful AI images, and successful motion graphics. A lower plan with extra credit packs may cost less. Compare plan features and packs before choosing; Firy assistant messages and unlisted actions are not calculated.

Do unused monthly credits roll over?

Monthly credits refresh each billing cycle and do not roll over. They are used before purchased credits, which do not expire while your business account exists.

Are hardware and installation included?

No. Hardware, installation, taxes, and custom integration work are separate unless explicitly quoted.
